KANSAS CITY!

Bright and early on August 21st, we were on the road heading to this once in a lifetime event! After driving 4 hours and stopping for lunch, we made our way to a local college to watch the solar eclipse. We were all super excited to see the moon pass over the sun. We put on our NASA approved glasses and settled down to watch it unfold. Did you know the last time this happened in the U.S was in 1979? There were pretty clear skies with a few clouds but by the time totality hit, the clouds totally covered up this hyped up phase. :( It still got dark and the crickets started chirping, which was pretty cool to experience! After the eclipse, we went to the Science City Museum! It was super interactive and there was so much to do! There was everything from 3-D printing to riding a bike above the ground. (Don't worry there was a net ;) We had dinner and hit the hay!

On August 22nd, we went to the Money and WWI Museum! We saw how money was made and packaged! We even got $165 of shredded money for a souvenir! At the WWI Museum, we had an amazing guide who talked us through everything that happened throughout that tragic incident. That museum was rated top 15 in the entire world. We had a 4 hour drive back, which was filled with lots of laughs. I had an incredible and a once in a lifetime experience!
